This gluten-free sticky chicken recipe is super yummy! I divide up the chicken between hot for the adults and mild for the kids.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken
- 2 1/4 cup Almond flour
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Directions
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Mix the almond flour, sea salt, and pepper in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk the eggs with a dash of water. Dip each piece of chicken into the corn starch, egg, then almond flour mixture. Place the coated chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the chicken for approximately 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
To prepare the sauce, bring the honey, hot sauce, and garlic powder to a boil. Set the sauce aside until the chicken is done cooking.
Dip the cooked chicken in the sauce and place back in the oven. Broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly looking. Save the extra sauce. Baste the chicken with the extra sauce and serve.

Corn starch is derived from the endosperm of a corn kernel. Corn starch is popularly used to thicken sauces or soups. The sauces and soups thicken by mixing the corn starch with a lower-temperature liquid. This produces a translucent mixture. Arrowroot can replace corn starch.
