We have this carni fritta recipe almost every week for dinner. Carni fritta is simple and quick to make. The leftovers are great for sandwiches for the kids for lunch also.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Sirloin chip steak cut thin (or eye of the round or breakfast steak)
- seasoned breadcrumbs (see recipe)
- 3 Wilcox eggs
- Oil
Directions
Have the deli cut the sirloin chip steak in 1/4 inch thick pieces.
Heat a cast iron pan with oil coating the bottom.
In a bowl, beat the eggs till frothy. Dip steak in egg mixture, then dip in breadcrumbs. Place the fried steak on paper towels to absorb oil, then serve.
