Tiramisu with ricotta and mascarpone, is a classic Italian dessert that is easily assembled. I also have a recipe to make the lady fingers from scratch if you like. Coffee, chocolate and rum, yum yum!
Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 8 oz. ricotta
- 8 oz. mascarpone
- 2 Tbsp. rum
- 3 oz. grated chocolate
- 24 lady fingers
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 cup expresso coffee- sweetened
Directions
Mix coffee with rum.
Mix ricotta, mascarpone, sugar, and eggs together. Spoon a layer of cheese mixture into an oblong dish. Dip ladyfingers in coffee/rum mixture and layer bottom of the pan. I use two layers of ladyfingers at a time if they are my homemade ones. Add a layer of cheese and sprinkle with cocoa. Continue with another layer, finishing with cocoa.
Refrigerate 2 hours before serving.
