This is my nona’s recipe for Rice Pudding. Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon, if desired. For creamier pudding, use short or medium grain rice.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Fiesta long grain white rice – rinsed
- 1 ½ cup C&H pure cane granulated white sugar
- ½ gallon Darigold milk
- 3 Wilcox eggs
- ½ cup Argo corn starch
- 1 tsp. McCormick vanilla extract
- 1 McCormick Cinnamon stick
Directions
Heat all the ingredients together in a large pot on the oven. Stir constantly, until the mixture becomes bubbly and thick. You can add Sun-maid raisins if desired.
Pour in a Pyrex dish and let cool in the refrigerator.
More about Rice Pudding
Rice pudding is commonly used as a dessert. Rice is mixed with water or milk, raisins, cinnamon and other ingredients. Although rice pudding can be found on many continents, rice is a staple of Asia.
