Although this recipe for Mandarin Salad has many ingredients it is certainty very tasty. Mix up just the dressing to save for a later date if you want.

Ingredients

Chicken and marinade-

  • ½ cup Kikkoman soy sauce
  • ½ cup Simply orange juice
  • 4 green onions cut into rings
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 lb. boneless/skinless chicken breast
Dressing-

  • 1 ½ cup C&H Pure can granulated white sugar
  • 2 tsp. Colman’s dry mustard
  • 2 tsp. Morton Iodized salt
  • 2/3 cup Heinz apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. onion juice or ½ cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups Bertolli extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp. McCormick gourmet collection toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp. Kikkoman soy sauce
Salad-

  • Chop iceberg lettuce
  • 5 strips Hormel black label bacon
  • 1 8 oz. can Dynasty sliced water chestnuts – drained
  • 11 oz. can Dole mandarin oranges – drained
  • 2 red peppers- chopped
  • 1 pkg frozen C&W petite pea pods

Directions

Dressing-
In food processor, mix sugar, mustard, salt, vinegar and soy sauce. Add onion juice and blend. Add oil slowly while processor is running and mix until thick. Add sesame seeds. Store in refrigerator.

Salad-
Mix with La Choy Chow Mein noodles and toasted sesame seeds
