I remember helping the ladies in my family make this cream cheese pillow cookie recipe when I was a little girl. The cream cheese make these cookies light a fluffy and your favorite jam makes it even better.

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • your favorite flavored jams
  • sugar


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and cheese together. Blend flour with the butter mixture. Cover and place in the refrigerator to chill the dough. Roll cookie dough very thin, on a floured surface. Cut out with a 2 1/2″ circle cutter and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Spoon 1/4 teaspoon of your favorite jam into the middle of the cut out. Moisten edges of the cookie with water and fold over, to form a half circle. Use a fork tines to press together the edges of the cookie to keep the jam inside. Cook for about 12 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with sugar directly after taking the cookies out of the oven.
