Bianco Mangiare is like a vanilla pudding in the United States.

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp argo pure corn starch
  • 3 cups darigold milk
  • 1/2 + 2 tbsp C&H pure cane granulated white sugar
  • ¼ tsp grated lemon zest
  • ¼ cup chopped almonds
  • ½ cup Baker’s semi-sweet baking chocolate squares – grated

Directions

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and 1 cup of milk until smooth. In a 2 quart heavy saucepan on medium heat, cook the remaining 2 cups of milk and sugar until it reaches a soft boil. Add lemon zest and almonds to the cornstarch milk mixture. Cook until thick, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and let sit for 3 minutes stirring to prevent it from sticking. Pour into small dessert cups and cool for 10 minutes. Top with grated chocolate and place in refrigerator uncovered. Serve cold.
