I am told by my mother, that this is my great grandmothers french toast recipe. It is absolutely delicious. The flour in the recipe gives the french toast a bit of a pancake taste. Garnish with fruit or preserves.

  • 6 heaping Tbsp Gold medal flour
  • 4 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 Wilcox eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Preheat a skillet to 350 degrees. Set bread out for a bit to get hard. This way it doesn’t fall apart when you dip the bread in the french toast dip.

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a whisk. Coat a piece of bread at a time. Cook until golden brown. Garnish with whatever fruit and syrup you desire.
